When I was diagnosed with a mental illness, the first thing I wanted to do was hide. From the world, from myself, from my diagnosis, but I couldn't. Wherever I was, so was my diagnosis. When I picked up the pencil to begin writing this book, it was never meant to be a best seller or even hit many shelves; the goal was to reach one person. My only goal was to find one person running and tell them that it was okay to stop. There is hope in acceptance, there is support through others, and there is peace all around us. This book follows my life daily for the last year, living and recovering from mental illness. My life is now open for anyone to read, and that is the most terrifyingly beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. I hope you, the reader, can find peace in our similarities. I hope you can find relief knowing you are not alone. I hope you can find strength through my own journey.
