We set out to design a CMMC course built upon principles of cognitive science and universal design for learning. This CyberDI course - designed by faculty of the Computer Science Department and the College of Education at Southern Connecticut State University - began with pragmatic iterative design. We utilized a Community of Inquiry Model and used the 25 Principles of Cognitive Science in the online classroom to inform our backwards design process. The book begins with a focus on options for different learners to interact with our materials. In every module of this CyberDI course, you will have access to readings, slideshows, and videos. To ensure your success with the CyberDI curriculum, we organize the book into six domains that will map directly to the Certified CMMC Professional Exam.In Domain One, we provide an overview of CMMC and the CMMC Ecosystem. This includes an overview of CMMC Governance and Source Documents. In Domain Two, we review the CMMC-AB Code of Professional Conduct (CoPC). We also explore the history of ethics in the fields of auditing and assessment. In Domain Three, we take a much deeper look at CMMC Governance and Source Documents. In Domain Four, we explore the CMMC Model Construct and Implementation Evaluation. You will learn how to utilize documents as tools to complete assessments.
